Ten Strings and a Goat Skin - Mentorship Artist
Ten Strings and a Goat Skin - Mentorship ArtistRooted in the traditional, members of Ten Stings And A Goat Skin celebrate the music of the Acadian, Francophone & Irish cultures they share, infuse it with modern rhythms and interpretations to create an infectious energy and sound that speaks to all ages.

Building on a base of much loved traditional maritime music with a good dose of originality and innovation, the boys grab both French and English audience right from the first note. They easily connect with audiences while they create an atmosphere that is pure fun.

Milestones saw the group making waves on both English and Francophone venues at the 2011 and 2012 ECMAs and at the Canadian Irish Festival in the Miramichi. Their début bilingual album, TRI, was awarded MUSIC PEI’s 2012 Roots Traditional Recording of the Year and was nominated for the 2012 ECMA Roots Traditional Group Recording of the Year.

They have hosted daily ceilidhs at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company’s River Theatre in New Glasgow PEI for the past two summers, perform at many local festivals, concerts and benefits as well as for corporate and private functions and count themselves part of the Sunday seisiún players at the Old Triangle Alehouse in Charlottetown.

These three musicians and best friends, all high school students attending L’école Francois Buote in Charlottetown, Jesse Périard, and brothers Rowen Gallant and Caleb Gallant, hailing from Suffolk and Rustico PEI are Ten Strings And A Goat Skin.
